It’s time once again for our annual communal sound experience — SOUNDHENGE!

Now in its 12th year, SoundHenge began in 2014 as part of the Hamtramck Neighborhood Arts Festival (HNAF). Each year, musicians, sound-makers, artists, and adventurous listeners gather in Carpenter Park  to experience. the ever-changing soundscapes amongst the trees.

Participants spread out in a large, circle-ish formation throughout the park, bringing their own instruments, objects, electronics to create something unexpected.

SoundHenge is also a chance to experience the continually evolving landscape of Carpenter Park, informally celebrating the ongoing transformation of the this unique gathering environment.

This years addition includes “RCB” a sculptural bench by Artist Nick Jaskey

SoundHenge and Popps merchandise and light resfreshments will also be available for purchase during the event.
